TabCorral is so easy to use – yet so flexible – that people are finding uses we never envisioned. Here are a few ideas from our staff, developers and beta testers.
Online Research
Researching a purchase? Tracking a competitive product – or a whole industry?
If you’re like most users, you’ll finish a research session with a dozen open tabs in your browser.
Simply create a corral (give it a descriptive title) and add those tabs to the corral.
Days (or months) later – when you want to revisit your research – you simply open the corral. All those saved tabs will open in your browser, though you can also open the tabs singly.
Competitive/Business Analysis
Business users can create corrals for their industry and competitors – and add tabs as new sites become available.
Using Google Alerts and other search tools, you can quickly compile an exhaustive virtual clip file on almost any subject.
Register for TabCorral Pro, and you can share those corrals with colleagues, family, friends – or the public at large.
Create A “Useful Sites” File
It’s common to stumble across useful web sites – and then spends hours looking for them a couple months later.
TabCorral saves these sites (in seconds), so you can open them whenever needed – singly, or as a group.
For example, I maintain a pair of “useful writer’s sites” corrals (one for tools, one for references).
When I stumble across a useful site, I add it to the corral. The sites I revisit daily get moved to my bookmarks toolbar – but the rest are always within arm’s reach.
“Useful sites” corrals are immensely valuable to programmers, writers, analysts, bloggers, developers – and others who frequently access reference materials online.
Open & Close Corrals Based on Subject
You can create corrals based on subject matter – and open and close them as groups.
For example, you could create a corral of sports sites you’d like to read daily. Open that corral in the morning, scan the sites, close them, and move onto the next corral.
You could create containing news, financial, political, hobby sites – whatever your interests.
More Examples Coming
As the TabCorral community finds new ways to put TabCorral to work, we’ll post them on the site.
